The signing of Felipe Anderson from West Ham is one of Porto’s biggest moves of the transfer window, even though it’s only a loan deal.
The talks were only reported in the past couple of days, and following a few ups and downs, the Dragons made it official on Portugal’s deadline day.
Local newspapers bring some details on the signing today, and O Jogo insists that the move nearly collapsed due to a disagreement between the clubs.
It’s said sources from Porto told them on Monday night that the transfer became very unlikely. Then on Tuesday morning, the sides managed to negotiate again.
Meanwhile, newspaper Record brings some other details.
They say Porto are paying West Ham €1m to have the player for one season, but the Dragons won’t have an option to buy.
The Brazilian’s contract with West Ham runs until 2022.
