Crystal Palace have lost the race for Brazilian starlet Evanilson, according to reports today.
Globo Esporte is the one saying Porto found a deal for the striker, and he should fly to Portugal and sign for the Dragons on Tuesday.
The website writes that the 20-year-old was wanted by the City Group, Crystal Palace and Brazilian side Internacional.
It’s the Selhurst Park side who get named in their headline, with Globo Esporte saying Porto ‘went through’ the negotiations of the London club and ended up finding an agreement for the player.
The Brazilian and the Portuguese press are still to find out how much are Porto paying for the transfer. Website Mais Futebol points out that the deal is being handled by Jorge Mendes’ company Gestifute.
Last week, it had been reported that Crystal Palace made an official bid for Evanilson. Then in an update today, it was said the clubs couldn’t find a deal, and the Premier League side went looking for another target.
