French forward Paul-Georges Ntep is out of contract at Rennes next summer, and that has obviously put his future in doubt at the Ligue 1 club.
Ntep has been previously linked with a move to Southampton, and fresh reports in the French media suggest another Premier League club could be keen on signing him.
According to Le 10 Sport, Watford are interested in signing the 24-year-old, and have already met his representatives and Rennes.
Marseille are reportedly also keen on signing Ntep, and could bid around €5m, but Le 10 Sport say Watford won’t hesitate to raise the stakes even further in January.
It appears Rennes have already lost hope of keeping Ntep beyond next summer, and the Ligue 1 club want to sell him in January to get some profit on the player.
There is no mention of Southampton’s interest in the Le 10 Sport article, and it remains to be seen if Claude Puel is still keen on signing the Ligue 1 star.
Ntep has managed four assists in eight appearances this season, and has been linked with a move to the Premier League several times in the past.
