The Catalan media continue their Sadio Mane claims on Saturday, after it was earlier reported the Liverpool player has been offered to Barcelona.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the player is ‘open to a change of scenery’, having won the Champions League and Premier League with the Reds. Despite the current struggles at Barca, Mane is said to look favourably on the potential move, and was a follower of the club as a child.
It’s again stated that whilst Mane isn’t unhappy at Anfield, he’s not entirely satisfied with his situation. His relationship with Jurgen Klopp remains good but it’s ‘not the same as before’.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Mane doesn’t feel he’s given the importance he deserves, always the worker and never the star. Tired of being in the shadow of others, a move to Barcelona is said to appeal, whether or not Lionel Messi leaves the club this summer.
Despite all of that, Mundo don’t hide from reality and accept it would be incredibly difficult to sign him.
Barcelona know better than most just how hard it is to take players away from Liverpool, so whilst this may be an idea right now… that’s all it is.
