When the Portuguese press started reporting Sporting’s talks with Manchester City for the transfer of Pedro Porro, it really sounded like it’d be a quick deal.
But even though there’s still a big confidence that the move is happening, it seems there are still a few details to be sorted between the clubs.
Newspaper O Jogo brings a story today saying Porro’s loan at Real Valladolid has now come to an end, so he’s finally free to sign for Sporting.
But there are two details left. The first one is that the Lions would like to include an option to buy him at the end of the loan spell, and Manchester City are against it.
The other issue is that the clubs are still to agree the percentage of Porro’s salary that each side will pay.
Still, the transfer is said to be on ‘the final stretch’ and is expected to be closed this week. Porro was signed by Manchester City in 2019, and should now be loaned for the second time.
