Man City tracking 17-year-old striker following France U18 performances in international tournament

When clubs don’t have the transfer window open, and actual football is being played, that’s all they can do when it comes to transfers.

Sure, they can enquire with a few clubs regarding the availability of their players, but the vast majority of the time, they send scouts to games to look at how footballers are doing.

Manchester City have become quite good at this, especially in South America lately, but they haven’t forgotten about Europe, with the Champions League Youth competition (the Youth League) a great place to see some of the clubs’ best youngsters in action.

According to L’Equipe on Wednesday, Pep Guardiola’s recruitment cell have decided to take a look at one of Paris Saint-Germain’s forwards, Moussa Diaby.

The 17-year-old is still on a youth contract with the Ligue 1 champions, with a professional one planned for June 2018, and Manchester City are keeping an eye on how things develop.

The player recently grabbed the attention of scouts during an U18 tournament with his country, as they won the Tournoi de Limoges earlier this month by beating Uruguay 2-0 with Diaby scoring two goals and picking up an assist along the way.

We doubt this will come to anything anytime soon, but it gives you an idea of who Manchester City are currently looking at.
