The race for Porto left-back Alex Telles is detailed by Portuguese newspaper O Jogo today. The outlet says Paris Saint Germain and Chelsea continue to battle for the player, although it’s the French side who look closer to getting him for now.

The story sounds pretty sure the Brazilian is leaving the Dragons at the end of the season, especially because his contract expires in a year. It’s said to be a ‘matter of when and for how much’.

It’s claimed that it was PSG who moved first, and could even have closed a deal in March, if it wasn’t for the Coronavirus pandemic.

The French club are now expected to come back with a bid of €25m for Telles, with other bonuses to be added. And that could up being enough for a deal.

Regarding Chelsea, O Jogo says the Blues have both Telles and Ben Chilwell as targets, but it’s the Leicester City player who’s their priority.

The problem is the Foxes are demanding between €60m and €70m for the player, and that’s what could turn Chelsea’s attention towards Alex Telles.

But with PSG looking so closer on signing the Brazilian, Chelsea might have to make a decision quickly.
