Leicester City are interested in Atalanta full-back Robin Gosens should they lose Ben Chilwell this summer.
Chilwell has been one of the Foxes’ stars under Brendan Rodgers this season, establishing himself as the number one at left-back for both club and country.
That’s naturally seen several clubs linked with a move for him in the summer, notably Chelsea, who are keen to add a left-back to Frank Lampard’s squad.
Leicester are likely to resist any offers as much as they can, but it seems if they are forced to sell, then they already have a replacement in mind.
Tuttomercatoweb report that the Foxes are one of several clubs interested in Gosens, who has been impressing for the Serie A side this season.
The 25-year-old has been one of the stars of Gian Piero Gasperini’s side this season, with eight goals and five assists to his name so far.
That’s naturally earned him attention from bigger clubs, and it appears Leicester are one of them, with them alongside Chelsea and Inter Milan as suitors.
Should they make a move for him, though, they will find it hard to prise him away from La Dea as TMW explain that the left-back has already agreed to a deal to extend his contract at the club until 2024.
His current contract expires in 2022 but an extension has already been arranged, with the club yet to announce the deals for him and Marten de Roon.
That would make him an extremely difficult player to acquire, with Atalanta in a strong position to resist any offer, regardless of Leicester’s ability to offer a significant sum.
