According to Takvim, as covered by Sporx, Liverpool remain interested in signing Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.
Jurgen Klopp could sign a goalkeeper this summer to provide a back-up to Alisson Becker, following the errors made by Adrian during the Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.
The Turkish newspaper report Liverpool have contacted their former player Martin Skrtel with regards to the youngster, who gave his view about the 23 year old.
Skrtel reportedly said positive things about Cakir, and Takvim claim Trabzonspor are expecting to sell the player for more than what they got for Yusuf Yazici, who they sold to Lille for €17m last summer.
Takvim also claim the Premier League side were looking to send a scout to watch him action against Basaksehir this week, but with the Coronavirus outbreak in Turkey they couldn’t do this.
Cakir is contracted to the Super Lig side until June 2023 and has also been linked with a move to Chelsea in the past week.
