According to Fotospor, Leeds United are interested in signing Besiktas striker Cyle Larin, who’s currently on loan with Belgian side Zulte Waregem.
Besiktas signed the Canadian striker from Orlando City in 2018, but the 24 year old failed to make an impact with the Turkish side.
Due to his poor run of form, Larin was loaned to Zulte Waregem last summer and he’s impressed for the Jupiler League side, scoring 9 goals and making 9 assists in all competitions this season.
Zulte Waregem have the option to make his move permanent for €2.5m, but Fotospor report Besiktas believe they can now get more for him, with Leeds United said to be in the picture, along with other Belgian sides.
The player was linked with a move to Elland Road a few years ago.
The Black Eagles are hoping selling Larin will raise transfer funds for the summer window, and the Super Lig club’s manager Sergen Yalcin will allow him to leave.
Larin’s contract with Besiktas will expire at the end of June 2022.
