Swansea City goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has been speaking to the Polish Football Federation (via Bold) ahead of his country’s FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Denmark.
Fabianski highlighted the importance of Tottenham star Christian Eriksen for the Denmark national team. The 31-year-old insists Eriksen is a ‘driving force’ of Denmark’s attack, but they have several players who play regularly in the Premier League.
He said: “We know that they’re a strong team with several good players. Several play regularly in the Premier League as Christian Eriksen.
“This is a player who stands out as the driving force of the attack. He takes good set pieces and has many positive qualities.”
The Swansea City goalkeeper, however, believes they can’t afford to just concentrate on the Tottenham star, and must focus on the entire team.
He added: “But it is still best to prepare tactically as a team, and you cannot focus on a single opponent. It is a team with players of high class, and therefore we must concentrate.”
Denmark are trying to bring a new era through, with a change in management coinciding with a new generation of talent becoming more experienced, and Eriksen could well be the leader of that.
