France Football have some good news for Manchester United supporters, a striker could be on the way to the club before the window slams shut tonight.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been saying since before the summer window closed that he needs another striker in the squad, yet somehow those above him have failed to bring anyone to Old Trafford.
Friday saw Joshua King being linked with a move from Bournemouth to their Premier League rivals, but it’s been clear that a deal would be difficult.
Odion Ighalo has also been linked, and that’s what France Football bring now.
The French website states: ‘Information FF: Odlon Ighalo could land at Manchester United before the transfer window end! He is currently in China at the Shanghai Shenhua.’
The 30 year old is best known in England for his time with Watford, a period which saw Changchun Yatai swoop for him in February 2019, for a fee around £20m.
Should Manchester United secure Ighalo then he’ll be the club’s second senior signing this month, after they bought Bruno Fernandes from Sporting.
