There’s a reasonable chance Davie Selke will change clubs today, with the Hertha Berlin player being edged out of the picture where he is.
The Bundesliga side have signed Krzysztof Piątek, who was linked with several Premier League clubs, from AC Milan, so Selke’s opportunities are now going to be more limited.
Thursday saw the Hertha player linked with Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Watford, Brighton & Hove Albion and Bournemouth.
All of those five have been linked again by Bild, and it’s Newcastle and Aston Villa who have been chasing an additional forward most strongly as the window comes to an end.
Bild say Werder Bremen may be a last minute option for the player, although the plan could hit a block when finances are taken into account.
Premier League interest is pushed again, and it’s made clear Selke would be up for a move to England’s top flight.
The German window closes at 5pm, so that gives English clubs a few more hours given it only closes at 11pm here.
