AC Milan are ‘getting ready to say goodbye’ to Krzysztof Piatek, according to various claims coming from Italy on Wednesday evening.
Piatek has been strongly linked with a move to Tottenham over the past week or so, with claims from Poland this week that Jose Mourinho held a video conference call with the player.
Multiple reports of Spurs interest have also come from the Italian and English press, but it seems that the player will actually end up in Germany.
Calciomercato, one of several carrying the claims, reports Hertha Berlin have agreed a fee with Milan. The amount stands at €27m, with the suggestion that may include bonuses.
The Poland international’s transfer will be outright, and it’s explained there’s only a few details left to sort. Piatek himself is now expected in Germany on Thursday morning to have his medical and then sign a deal with the Bundesliga club.
Tottenham will have to look elsewhere.
