PSV Eindhoven will have funds at their disposal with Steven Bergwijn’s impending move to Tottenham Hotspur.
The Eredivisie side have decided to use part of the money from Bergwijn’s sale to sign Crystal Palace’s Patrick van Aanholt.
Earlier today, we covered claims from Eindhoven Dagblad that PSV made an offer in excess of €7m, but the Eagles are demanding more than €10m for the left-back. It was also stated the player ‘really wants to’ join PSV.
Voetbal International also state Roy Hodgson’s side are still maintaining the asking price of €10m and further add the Dutch club are ‘making every effort’ to sign the defender in the winter market.
According to the report, PSV leaders have submitted a second offer for Van Aanholt and it amounts to €9m.
With PSV’s latest proposal, VI adds the demand between ‘supply and demand’ is no longer large and there’s belief both clubs will find an agreement for Van Aanholt to become PSV’s new left-back.
