Spartak Moscow midfielder Alex Kral has spoken to the Russian media about the reported interest from Newcastle United.
The Czech midfielder has been linked with a move to the Premier League side in recent weeks and has given a statement to Sport Express regarding this.
Kral said he was aware of being linked to Newcastle United but there’s nothing happening at the moment: “I read the news, but my agent didn’t tell me anything. I have a good agent, he always tells me if something happens. If I receive an offer, he immediately calls me. This time he didn’t so there’s nothing to talk about.
“If Newcastle scouts are watching me and following my performances, let them continue to do it. For me, at this level every good football club watch lots of players so that doesn’t mean anything.”
Newcastle United will have to wait until the summer if they have plans to sign the youngster. The 21 year old has already played for Slavia Prague and Spartak Moscow this season, meaning he wouldn’t be able to play for the Magpies during the remainder of this campaign.
Kral joined Spartak from Slavia Prague last summer for €12m and has been impressing since his arrival in Moscow.
The Czech international has made 19 appearances for the club this season. His contract with Spartak will expire at the end of June 2024.
