Following Harry Kane’s injury which will let him out for a while, Tottenham Hotspur have obviously been linked to a bunch of strikers.
One of them is Fernando Llorente, who left the club to join Napoli on a free move last summer. A few outlets have been linking him with a return to London, and Mundo Deportivo brings an extra stance today.
They claim that Llorente isn’t very happy at Napoli, as he can’t get enough minutes at the Serie A side. With four goals in 22 appearances so far, his form hasn’t impressed either.
That’s why the player ‘wouldn’t rule out’ picking up the phone in case Tottenham Hotspur call him. He’s said to ‘want more’ than what he’s been having in Italy.
Regarding José Mourinho’s wish to sign Llorente, Mundo Deportivo recalls that the Portuguese boss tried to take the striker to Real Madrid back in 2010.
Athletic Club Bilbao played hard at the time, as they always do, and the Galacticos weren’t able to complete the signing.
