Fotomac claim Shkodran Mustafi’s agent will hold transfer talks with Galatasaray following reports the Super Lig side want to sign his client.
The Turkish side are in the market for a central defender in this window after they lost Christian Luyindama to injury in November, and recent reports suggested the Arsenal player could be a target for them.
According to Fotomac, the German defender’s agent will travel to Istanbul to meet with Galatasaray officials with regards to a potential move in this transfer window.
Earlier reports claimed new Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will let him leave to continue his career elsewhere and Galatasaray is an option.
Mustafi has yet to start a game under Arteta, and also struggled to play regular first-team football under Unai Emery. Subsequently he may look to leave the Premier League club to make a fresh start in his career.
The former Valencia defender is under contract at the Emirates until June 2021.
