Sporting captain Adrien Silva has finally spoken out on Leicester’s alleged desire to sign him again.
The response came after Claudio Ranieri’s press conference, when he was questioned if he still wanted Adrien Silva and answered by saying “We’re watching many players. Adrien is a great player. Why not?”
Ranieri tried to sign Silva during the summer window, offering €25m and then €30m, but Sporting make it public they would only sell the player for his €45m release clause.
The 27-year-old, on the other hand, believed that the parties had found an agreement and publicly revealed his desire to join the English side.
However, after Sporting’s official statement, he kept quiet and returned to work normally at the club, where he recovered his armbrand and has the same respect from the fans as before.
