According to Turkish website Asist Analiz, Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli has contacted Mesut Ozil’s agent about a potential move to the Turkish club in the January transfer window.
It’s reported the former Tottenham and Liverpool sporting director will travel to England next week to hold talks with both Ozil and Arsenal as he tries to get a deal done for the 31 year old.
Ozil has been left out of Arsenal’s match-day squad for the past six games and his future at the Emirates looks uncertain.
The former Real Madrid midfielder could leave the club in the new year having made just one Premier League appearance this season under Unai Emery.
Asist Analiz report Arsenal are willing to pay some of Ozil’s wages as Fenerbahce would be unable to cover this due to their financial situation.
Ozil has also been linked with a move to the MLS in recent days.
