Pushed to one side at Leicester City by Brendan Rodgers, Rachid Ghezzal desperately needs to find himself a new club in the few hours if he wants to play some semblance of regular football this season.
Yet ti feature in a match day squad with King Power Stadium club this season, the Algeria international has been a target for a few clubs, including Olympiakos and Schalke 04.
However, Fiorentina, who are scrambling around for last-minute signings on this European transfer deadline day, are the latest squad to have shown some interest, according to Sky Italia.
The outlet explain that on top of looking at Reims winger Rémi Oudin, the Serie A club have also enquired about Hatem Ben Arfa and Leicester forward Rachid Ghezzal.
Whether that enquiry leads to an actual bid remains to be seen, but it’s fair to say moving for the former Newcastle attacking midfielder might be easier seeing as he’s currently without a club.
One to keep an eye on in the next couple of hours.
Edit: L’Equipe have also confirmed this, stating the player is already on his way to Florence in case a move does take place.
