Spanish outlet Canarias7 features today a big story about Pedri, who should soon be on his way out of UD Las Palmas.
The player has received a new offer to join Barcelona, and according to the report, his club is getting ready to accept it.
It turns out that Barça are in a hurry so they can beat a big competition for Pedro, with a list which includes the likes of Premier League side Manchester City.
This is Barcelona’s third offer for the 16-year-old, Canarias7 say, as they’ve put on the table a bid of €5m plus a set of bonuses.
It’s claimed that Las Palmas are aware that a lot of clubs have been following the teenager’s development, especially after scouting him in pre-season friendlies. Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Betis and Manchester City are said to be some of them.
But Barcelona want to get to him first, and that’s why they want things done ‘in next few hours’ instead of waiting for a new transfer window, at which point Pep Guardiola’s side could prove an inconvenience.
