On July 29th. L’Equipe explained Amiens right-back Emil Krafth is on Newcastle United’s list of summer targets and two days later, reports in France suggested the Magpies ‘intended to finalise’ the signing quickly.

It was also explained the Tyneside club had convinced the Ligue 1 side with a new offer, after their first proposal was turned down by Amiens.

It’s claimed the Sweden international is ‘close’ to joining Steve Bruce’s side and Amiens would cash in €7m from the player’s sale to Newcastle.
The report states Krafth is expected in Newcastle today to clear his medical and sign a four-year deal at St James’ Park.
Krafth is set to compete with DeAndre Yedlin for the right-back position for the 2019/20 season.
