Barcelona are close to completing a deal for Real Betis youngster Junior Firpo, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Catalans have been chasing the young full-back this summer but were unable to reach an agreement with Betis.
The latter were holding out for a top price for their man, and Barca were seemingly unwilling to pay it.
That seems to have changed, though, with Mundo Deportivo reporting that an agreement has been found and it’s only ‘a matter of hours’ before the deal is done.
There’s no mention of the price from the newspaper, but they say Barcelona are happy after lowering Betis’ asking price, which was €25m.
The La Liga champions only have the final contract details to sort out with Junior, with the other details, such as wages and duration, which will be five-years, already squared away.
Indeed, Junior could even undergo his medical this afternoon and complete the move not long after, as far as Mundo Deportivo are concerned.
