On July 31st, we carried a report from AS, who explained Brighton & Hove Albion had submitted a new bid for Youssef En-Nesyri after Leganes rejected two earlier offers.
Later that day, the Morocco international took to social media to express his unhappiness after his employer turned down the Seagulls’ proposal.
The striker has returned to preseason training and is waiting to resolve his future and potentially join Graham Potter’s side, claims AS.
Leganes do not discard the 22-year-old’s sale, nor do they rule out the possibility of extending his deal.
The Spanish side have only received offers from Brighton for En-Nesyri, who has a €20m release clause in his contract.
Brighton are unwilling to pay his release clause, but are ready to negotiate a transfer with Leganes for €20m. This is to make sure the English club avoid incurring extra expenses in signing En-Nesyri.
Paying a buyout clause can be tricky and clubs often try their best to avoid it.
