Galatasaray summer signing Jean Michael Seri has spoken to Ntv Spor about his move to the Turkish side.
Cim Bom have managed to land the Fulham midfielder on a season long loan deal for €1.5m and Seri has explained why he chose Galatasaray over other interested clubs. “I think the most important thing is to enjoy your football. We also have to give joy to the supporters.
“I want to make them happy because they’ve showed me a lot of love and respect. I feel great support behind me and that’s why I joined Galatasaray.”
The midfielder also spoke about the interest from other clubs, and has confirmed he received an offer from Serie A giants Milan: “When a big club like Galatasaray want you and their fans show great support to you, you instantly made the decision. That’s what happened. Of course, I had an offer from Milan but when I saw the club’s board members and the fans, I made my mind up.”
Seri signed for Fulham last summer for a club record transfer fee, but failed to replicate the form he showed with Ligue 1 side Nice. The player struggled to adapt to the English game and it always seemed likely he would move on this summer following the London’s club’s relegation back to the Championship.
He hadn’t wanted that particular move, and then felt he’d been cheated out of part of his transfer fee kickback.
With the departure of Badou Ndiaye and Fernando last month, Seri was brought in by the Turkish champions as they look to defend their league title.
The central midfielder now has the opportunity to kickstart his career with Gala and the incentive of Champions League football must have had an impact on his decision to head to the Super Lig.
