Since Newcastle United started being linked the Vasco da Gama striker Marrony, it’s never really been said how much would have to be paid.
When reporting Steve Nickson’s interest in the player, the Brazilian media only said he’s protected by a release clause of €35m.
Now journalist Jorge Nicola comes up with a story explaining Vasco are looking to make €16m.
Regarding the clubs who could sign him, Nicola names Newcastle, Sporting and Porto. The Magpies and the Dragons are those who have been in Brazil to watch the player.
Marrony scored a very important goal this weekend. Vasco travelled to São Paulo to face Palmeiras, who were on top of the league, and the striker opened the scoring in a match which finished 1-1.
