According to a claim in the Turkish media, Galatasaray have made Tottenham Hotspur’s Victor Wanyama their first choice as they look to bring in a central midfielder before the transfer deadline.
The Kenya international has been linked with Gala in recent weeks, along with their city rivals Fenerbahce.
Fanatik today report Galatasaray president Mustafa Cengiz yesterday held a meeting with other board members and they discussed which players they will be targeting in the final weeks of this window.
It’s claimed Wanyama was again brought up by the Turkish side’s officials and despite the club being linked with Gustavo Cuellar and Josef de Souza, the Tottenham player is their priority at this stage.
Last week, Gala brought in Fulham’s Jean Michaël Seri on a season long loan deal but with the departures of Badou Ndiaye and Fernando they need to bring in at least one more central midfielder.
Wanyama has a Tottenham contract lasting until June 2021.
