According to a claim in the Italian media, Bari are the latest club to join the race to sign Virtus Francavilla midfielder Michael Folorunsho.
The youngster has been linked with Leeds United in recent weeks with some reports in Italy saying the Championship side are leading the race to sign the player.
Tutto Puglia have today reported on the latest developments regarding the future of Folorunsho and they say things are becoming ‘increasingly heated’ in the transfer market for Francavilla. They report there’s likely to be departures this summer, including the Leeds United target.
It’s claimed Bari owner Aurelio De Laurentiis is keen on Folorunsho and could move in on him in this window. Bari have ambitious plans to get promotion from Serie C next season and the Napoli chief wants to bring in the 21 year old.
However, Tutto Puglia reports Bari will face competition to sign Folorunsho, with Leeds United interest backed up, and it being stated they’ve been following the player for a long time.
Parma, Genoa and Empoli have also been linked with Folorunsho.
