According to Sozcu, Besiktas are interested in signing Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala in this transfer window.
The French defender was linked with a move to Besiktas last summer and Sozcu say the club’s president Fikret Orman still remains keen to bring him to Istanbul.
Sozcu claims City want €3.5m for the 28 year old but Besiktas are only willing to offer €2m to sign him permanently. The Premier League champions paid around £35m for the former France international when they signed him from FC Porto in 2014.
It’s claimed Mangala is also keen to leave Manchester City this summer as he wants to play regular first-team football at this stage of his career.
The former Porto defender didn’t make any first team appearances last season, but he did play five games in the Premier League 2. In recent seasons the player was loaned out to Valencia and Everton.
Mangala is under contract at the Etihad until June 2020.
