Currently focusing all their attention on the right-back spot as they try and prise Aaron Wan-Bissaka away from Crystal Palace, Manchester United also have a small need at left-back.
While Luke Shaw appears to have the starting role for now, the lack of competition for the England international isn’t the healthiest, and someone will be needed to allow him to rest.
That’s why names like Layvin Kurzawa keep popping back up, as the Red Devils, as well as Tottenham, have a long history of being linked with the Paris Saint-Germain defender over the years.
France Football bring it back to the fore, looking at the 26-year-old’s situation in the French capital, explaining the full-back remains popular at clubs such as Manchester United, Spurs and Atlético Madrid.
Danny Rose has made it clear his future at Tottenham isn’t fully guaranteed, and should the 28-year-old look for something else, Kurzawa could be an interesting option, even maybe a cheap(ish) one.
The problem in all this is that the former Monaco starlet isn’t all that interested in a move these days, wanting to prove himself under Thomas Tuchel, who gave him some game time towards the end of last season.
With a contract keeping him at the club until 2020, a decision will certainly need to be made in the coming months, as this could be the last time Paris Saint-Germain get a chance to make money off Kurzawa.
It’s either that or they hand him a new contract/let him go on a free next year.
