Leeds United loanee Caleb Ekuban has once again been quizzed by the Turkish media about his future.
The 25 year old is currently on loan with Trabzonspor and it’s expected he will join the Super Lig on a permanent deal this summer.
Speaking to Fotomac, Ekuban spoke about his time with Trabzonspor after joining the club on loan from Leeds United last summer: “In Trabzon, all the people respect you, this is something you cannot see in Italy. This is very good for me and it makes me happy to live in this kind of environment and play for this club.”
Ekuban added on his future with the Turkish club: “I’m looking to stay in this great club. I am hoping to win some trophies for our fans and hopefully, we will make it happen. This is my ultimate dream.”
Trabzonspor have a right of redemption on the Leeds United attacker for €1m and in recent weeks there have been reports they will activate this.
Yesterday we covered comments from the player’s agent, who said his client will remaining with the Turkish club beyond this season. This has been also been stated by Trabzonspor officials.
Ekuban has been in impressive form for the Trabzon club in recent weeks and he’s become a regular in their starting line up.
The Ghana international is contracted to Leeds United until June 2021.
