Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Tom Glover has spoken about his last-minute loan move to Helsingborg as he looks to make his debut for his new club this weekend.
The Swedish club have announced on their official website that the 21 year old will be on loan from Tottenham until June 2019, just a day before the transfer window closes in Sweden.
Speaking about his move to HIF, Glover said: “Everything happened very quickly. I was away with the national team and when I landed in London, I got a call that Helsingborg was interested. I saw the match on Sunday and told my girlfriend and family that the fans looked amazing.”
It’s reported Glover will be given the No.1 shirt as the newly promoted club look to build on their 3-1 victory over Norrköping on the opening day of the season.
Glover came through the Tottenham youth system after arriving from Australia in 2014 and signed professional forms with the London club in 2017.
The youngster has yet to make his senior debut for Spurs and this season he’s been involved with the Under 23s.
His move to HIF will give the goalkeeper much needed first team experience after a brief loan spell with Central Coast Mariners last season.
