Leeds United and Newcastle United are both linked to the Uruguayan midfielder Nahitan Nandez today.
The story comes from Italian website Calcio Mercato, who says Cagliari almost signed the player in the January, and are now making a new attempt in the summer.
They say the Serie A side should have competition from both Leeds and Newcastle, with the English sides having the conditions to meet Boca Juniors’ demands.
It’s claimed Boca would require €20m to let Nandez go, and the English clubs’ ‘big financial resources’ would help them with that.
Nandez has already been linked to a couple of English clubs this season. One of them was the very same Leeds, in a report from Tutto Mercato Web a week ago.
The website mentioned the Elland Road side as one of the clubs who would be ‘studying’ the possibility of going for the 23-year-old in the summer.
