Fotospor report Galatasaray legend Gheorghe Hagi has recommended Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Tudor Baluta to his former club, but the player is likely to join Besiktas if he leaves the Premier League side this summer.
Yesterday, we covered reports from Turkey that Baluta was watched by Besiktas scouts during the recent international break, ahead of a potential loan move to the Super Lig side next season.
According to Fotospor, Hagi has been impressed with Baluta after managing him at Vitorul and he’s told Galatasaray to sign the Brighton owned player.
However, it’s claimed Galatasaray are unlikely to pursue the defensive midfielder due to the options they already have in this position, but Fotospor say Besiktas have a decent chance of landing the player.
Baluta has made 28 appearances for Vitorul this season and is under contract at Brighton until June 2022. There’s been no indication of what the Premier League club think about a potential summer move.
