Crystal Palace and Watford are both reportedly interested in the Brazilian wonderkid Gabriel Martinelli.
According to a report from website UOL today, both Premier League sides have been following the 19-year-old, who’s been shining for Ituano this season.
Although the player started the season playing the Copa São Paulo, Brazil’s most famous youth cup, he’s now been promoted to the first team, having four goals and three assists in ten appearances among the big boys.
Martinelli turns 18 years of age in June, and as he’s currently sorting an EU passport, maybe he could be able to make the move to Europe already in the next summer window.
But Crystal Palace and Watford better hurry, because Arsenal have already opened talks for the player, and are currently in negotiations for an €8m deal.
Brazilian sides such as Cruzeiro, Flamengo and Santos have all made contact as well, yet they are unlikely to be able to compete with European clubs.
