France’s Foot Mercato report on Tuesday afternoon that Manchester United are closely following Benoit Badiashile.
The French source actually say their information comes from a source close to the Premier League club, which may suggest it’s someone working in player identification and scouting for the Red Devils.
Badiashile is a 17 year old defender, and interest from Manchester United has been reported before. The same French website reported at the weekend that the English club were one of several who made attempts for the player in the summer.
The young Frenchman has made ten Ligue 1 appearances so far this season, with Thierry Henry showing faith in him as Monaco were hit by injuries. With the former Arsenal player now sacked, the youngster will rely on Leonardo Jardim to give him minutes for the rest of the season.
A move during the winter window is very unlikely, so it would be all eyes towards the summer for Manchester United.
