Futbol Arena claim Fenerbahce want to part ways with Leicester City striker Islam Slimani following his poor performances since arriving from the Premier League club last summer.
The Algerian striker has only managed to score one league goal for the Turkish club and last night he was left out by manager Ersun Yanal during for first league game of 2019 against Bursaspor.
The Turkish website claim Fenerbahce are interested in signing Basaksehir striker Emmanuel Adebayor in this window and the Istanbul club want to offer Slimani as a part of the deal.
It’s reported that if Fenerbahce can’t convince Basaksehir on Slimani, they’re also considering sending him to another club as they’ve given up on him, but would need to get the nod from Leicester City.
Previous reports said they wanted to send him back to Leicester City, but this was rejected by the Foxes.
Fenerbahce manager Ersun Yanal was hoping to use him during the second half of the season but it seems the Turkish coach has also accepted he can’t get the best out of Slimani.
