Spanish giants Real Madrid are reportedly trying to avoid competition from Liverpool and Manchester United for the Porto defender Éder Militão, by speeding things up somewhat.
It’s Portuguese newspaper A Bola who reports it in their Friday edition, explaining that the Spanish club have requested a meeting with the player’s agents, who will present their side of conditions to the Dragons next week.
Real Madrid are said to have been following Militão since the last summer window, and plan to find a deal now to get the player at the end of the season.
A Bola doesn’t explain the reason for it, but it makes sense since reports this week have revealed that Militão would cost €75m in the January window and €50m afterwards.
The newspaper doesn’t have many details about Liverpool and Manchester United this time.
All they do is to make it clear that the Premier League sides are the biggest threat to take Militão from Porto if he’s not ending up at Real Madrid.
