Three months ago, we covered a story from Calcio Mercato saying Liverpool were in a race with Milan for the Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Dani Olmo.

The report at the time said the player would cost around €10m, and he would rather move to the Reds than the Rossoneri.

The rumour was later backed up by the Catalan media, who also added West Ham and Borussia Dortmund to the competition. They said that Olmo’s price had been raised to €25m.

Now Calcio Mercato is back with an update, only mentioning Liverpool and Milan, saying the Italian side are really keen on the player.

Milan, however, only want to spend up to €20m on the midfielder. They’ve opened talks with Dinamo, but don’t seem to be keen on matching the price.

Maybe this is a sign for Liverpool to move quick in case they’re really interested in the player. Because it’s now two stories from Calcio Mercato favouring the Reds in the race.

To make it clear, they again state Liverpool is ‘his favourite destination’.
