Spanish outlet El Desmarque today turns down rumours saying Michy Batshuayi could return to Chelsea in January.
With his two goals in 15 appearances not being enough to impress at the La Liga side, some believed his loan could be cut short in the middle of the season.
But El Desmarque now reveals that there’s no such clause in his contract, which actually runs until June 2019.
The outlet makes it clear that even if Valencia wanted to send him back to Chelsea, that would only happen if they negotiate it with the Blues.
But the Spanish side’s intention is different.
It’s claimed manager Marcelino Garcia Toral wants Batshuayi to improve and find a place in the team. The same goes for the player, who’s returned from the international break with a renewed desire to make his time at Valencia a success.
In case the Belgian international manages to turn things around, Valencia still have a buying option over him.
