Bayern Munich does crisis mode rather well.
Losing to Borussia Dortmund at the weekend, there’s all kinds of dramas around the Bundesliga club.
Some key players aren’t thought to be happy with manager Niko Kovac, the club have an issue with ageing stars wielding too much power, and Bild reported on Monday that witnesses saw Franck Ribery slap a pundit three times after the BVB loss.
Some players will be eased out, it has to happen, and Bild look at which transfers are likeliest to happen over coming windows, more likely looking towards the summer.
Unsurprisingly, Jerome Boateng gets a mention. Far from his career best, the defender is out of the current Germany squad. Whilst Joachim Low said he was giving the player a ‘break’, he also made it clear there are younger options coming through.
Bild say Manchester United are still ‘thought to be interested’ and that a move to PSG failed during the summer.
Boateng himself has claimed Jose Mourinho tried to convince him on a move to Old Trafford this year, but whether Manchester United interest has been somewhat exaggerated will be a point many consider.
The German newspaper say everything points to a transfer for the player and give a move a 70% chance of happening.
