Following the recent rumours which linked Gabriel Barbosa to a move back to Europe, Italian outlet Calcio Mercato brings today some updates on the payer’s situation.
Gabigol is currently loaned by Inter Milan to Santos, where he’s been excellent this year. Thing is that the Brazilian side wouldn’t have money to buy him, and the Nerazzurri are looking to make some money with his sale.
So the Brazilian press recently claimed that Crystal Palace, Everton and West Ham would all be interested in him.
Calcio Mercato comes up with a similar list, mentioning Everton, West Ham, Sporting and Atletico Madrid. Everton seem to be being pulled into the story more.
After paying €33.5m to take the player from Santos in 2016, Inter’s intention would be now to sell him for at least €20m and recover part of that money. And that’s what agent Kia Joorabchian is trying to do.
It’s stated the clubs mentioned have a close relationship with the agent, that Inter are determined to sell, and that Gabigol wants to player in Europe again.
Now we wait and see if clubs will be looking to spend that much in the January window or if they will wait until next summer.
