Jose Mourinho faces a tough period of fixtures as Manchester United manager, and it could potentially define his future, or otherwise, at the Premier League club.
Saturday lunchtime sees an away fixture against Chelsea, then there’s Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday, followed by Everton at Old Trafford the following Sunday.
What the manager obviously doesn’t want is any further injuries.
However, there’s worry around Marouane Fellaini.
It was initially reported in Belgium that the midfielder missed the country’s open training session on Sunday as a precaution because of a groin issue, but now he’s missed training on Monday too.
HLN report there’s a ‘big question mark’ over whether Fellaini will be fit enough to play in Belgium’s friendly against Scotland on Tuesday.
Given it’s a friendly, it surely wouldn’t be such a bad idea to send the footballer back to Manchester United early, and make sure no risks are taken over fitness.
