Last week, Brighton loanee Percy Tau received a lot of praise from Anderlecht manager Hein Vanhaezebrouck.
Ahead of their Belgian Cup match, which Royale Union Saint-Gilloise won 3-0, the Belgian coach stated the South Africa international could play for 11 out of the top 16 clubs in the Jupiler Pro League, and he might be right.
Following that win, the Proximus League (the country’s second division) side continued their great run of form with another win at the weekend, topping the table after beating OHL Leuven 3-1.
Scoring all three of the goals was Youssoufou Niakaté, who now has 11 in eight league games, and he had Brighton’s Tau to thank for a chunk of his hat trick, at least.
RTL state the Seagulls loanee provided the assist for each of his strikes, although Transfermarkt credit Serge Tabekou for the third.
Either way, another great performance for Tau, who appears to have settled in nicely at his temporary club, as the 24-year-old gets used to European football and gathers first-team experience ahead of next season when Chris Hughton might have a more prominent role for him at the AMEX Stadium.
