It seems that €10m won’t be enough for Brighton or West Ham to sign Haris Seferovic from Benfica after all.
Even though the Portuguese press has been pointing out that this was the amount demanded by the Eagles, claims from France now say that more money will be needed for the 26-year-old.
This Thursday, website Ouest France claimed that Stade Rennais would be bidding €10m, but sources from Benfica told them they will end up asking for €15m plus bonuses.
Portuguese newspaper A Bola covers this report today, and says that the new demands are because of the competition that the player is attracting.
A Bola recalls that Galatasaray, Wolfsburg, Brighton and West Ham have all been linked to the striker recently.
The striker scored seven goals in 29 appearances for the Eagles last season. He made three World Cup appearances this summer, but failed to find the net for Switzerland.
