In recent weeks, Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee has emerged as a summer target for Inter Milan.
There’s been confidence that the Red Devils could be open to a potential deal and Corriere dello Sport have today added more to their stance about the Dutchman’s future at Old Trafford.
The Italian newspaper claim Inter Milan are already planning their move for Zirkzee and an offer is being prepared for the Dutch forward. The Nerazzurri are looking to put forward an initial loan deal with the option to buy which can be fixed at around €35m, plus potential bonus payments.
Corriere dello Sport state the purchase option would be ‘transformed into an obligation’ if certain – unexplained and probably undecided at this point – conditions are met.
In that scenario, the value of the deal would be close to what Manchester United paid to sign Zirkzee from Bologna last summer. Inter Milan would also be prepared the match the salary the 23-year-old earns at the Premier League club.
For Manchester United, such an offer, especially with a reasonable obligation clause, would present them with a decision to make.
