It’s been reported in Spain Atletico Madrid are keen to bring Diego Costa back to the Vicente Calderón this summer. The Spanish side failed in their attempts to sign the forward in the last winter transfer window.

A week ago, Spanish newspaper AS reported Diego Costa wants to stay at Chelsea, after Antonio Conte promised him a key role in the team.

However, It seems the Spanish newspaper are not too sure about it this because they also say Costa wants a reunion with Diego Simeone before July 7.

Costa is prepared to do anything to force Chelsea to sell him. The Blues, who paid £32m for the player, rejected a bid for him in January, but might consider selling him now.

Apparently, Chelsea boss Conte is keen on signing Alvaro Morata, and that would allow Costa to return to Atletico.

Atletico Madrid are prepared to spend €42m, which was raised by selling Jackson Martinez to Guangzhou Evergrande.

We’re not really sure if that’d be enough to tempt Chelsea, and the Blues might want to keep Costa for another season at least.

The Spaniard regained his form in the second half of last season, and Chelsea might not want to sell such an established striker.
