Even though Slaven Bilic recently dismissed the rumours which said West Ham would be keen on signing Patrice Evra, the London club keeps being linked to the former Manchester United left-back.

Italian website Calcio Mercato has some updates on the player’s situation today, saying his future should be decided this month.

Evra is running out of contract at Juventus at the end of the season, and according to the outlet, the Italian club will choose not to use their option to extend it for an year further.

Calcio Mercato also claims that the player’s entourage is set to to meet Juve’s board next week, so both parties can get to a final decision.

Patrice Evra joined Juventus from Manchester United in 2014. Despite his successful years in Italy, the player has been losing space to the Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro, who the club see as the future for the position.

However, even if Evra were to leave Juventus, he may well be looking for another Champions League club, or a huge pay day somewhere, rather than West Ham United.
