According to Aksam, Galatasaray striker Mbaye Diagne is close to leaving the Super Lig club and is in talks with Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace.
Galatasaray are looking to part ways with the player after signing him for €13m from Kasimpasa during the last transfer window.
The Turkish club need to sell some of their players to raise money to bring in new recruits, and Diagne is one of those they are looking to offload.
The Senegalese striker was recently in talks with Saudi Arabian clubs, but he’s now reportedly considering a move to the Premier League, with Brighton and Crystal Palace said to be interested.
Neither of the clubs will fancy a relegation fight next season and will be looking to strengthen their squads for next season. However, with Senegal still in the Africa Cup of Nations, this particular idea could only advance when they’re eliminated or when the tournament ends.
During the last campaign, the former Kasimpasa striker scored 31 goals in the Turkish Super Lig last season, helping Gala to a domestic league and cup double. That’s gives him a market, and so he becomes one of the players who could be sold.
Diagne is under contract with the Istanbul club until June 2023.
